Modena (30 minutes)
Duomo di Modena
This cathedral is a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture, designed by architect Lanfranco and sculptor Wiligelmo. Located on the central square Piazza Grande, together with the tower and the square it is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari
Via Paolo Ferrari 85, Modena – A museum dedicated to the founder Enzo Ferrari and the history of the Ferrari brand. A must-see for car lovers.
Mercato Albinelli
A covered historic market since 1931, the heart of the city's gastronomy. Perfect to taste local products: pasta, cheeses, aceto balsamico, etc. Discover the rich cuisine of the Emilia Romagna region.
Acetaia del Christo
Via Badia 41/A San Prospero – One of the oldest and largest acetaia in the region for the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena D.O.P. The family history dates back to 1849. They offer direct sales and tastings with guided tours of the production process. A truly interesting experience to enjoy.
Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti
Stradello Nava 6, Modena – The house where Luciano Pavarotti spent his last years, fully furnished as he liked it. You'll find personal belongings: costumes from famous operas, awards, paintings, and photos. His music studio and the room where he taught young singers. The home is warm and colourful, just like Pavarotti himself. With great attention to art, hospitality and music. A fun fact: Pavarotti often dined at our neighbours "Osteria Secchia", where you are also most welcome as our guest!
Note: Combine a visit to Casa Pavarotti with the Ferrari Museum, only a 15-minute drive apart — for a perfect mix of culture and passion in Modena.
Mantova (30 minutes)
Palazzo Ducale
A large complex of palaces and buildings built in the Middle Ages and later expanded as the residence of the Gonzaga family, who ruled for 400 years. Inside you'll find, among others, the famous Camera degli Sposi with frescoes by Andrea Mantegna. Palazzo Te was also a Gonzaga residence, known for its spectacular fresco halls like the "Sala dei Giganti".
Basilica di Sant'Andrea
An important church in Mantova designed by architect Leon Battista Alberti in the 15th century. It contains religious relics and is architecturally impressive.
Teatro Bibiena
A beautiful 18th-century theatre built between 1767–1769 by Antonio Galli Bibiena. On January 16, 1770, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart performed a concert here – a lovely historical detail.
Rotonda di San Lorenzo
The oldest church in Mantova, located on Piazza delle Erbe. Notable for its round shape and early architectural style. A peaceful and atmospheric place away from the crowds.
Walk and boat tour on the lakes of Mantova
Mantova is surrounded by three artificial lakes fed by the river Mincio. A boat trip or walk along the lakes gives a different perspective of the city — quieter, greener, and with beautiful views. A perfect spot to relax away from the busy centre.
Small charming villages and nearby areas: Castelarro Lagusello, Riserva Naturale Bosco Fontana, and the lake area of the river Mincio.

More than 100 shops with designer brands, clothing, accessories and home & lifestyle items. Less than 20 minutes from our B&B along the A22 motorway, exit Mantova Sud. A great place for an afternoon of shopping!
Bologna (45–60 minutes)
Piazza Maggiore & Fontana del Nettuno
This is Bologna's central square, surrounded by impressive medieval and Renaissance palazzi. The Neptune Fountain (Fontana del Nettuno) is an iconic landmark in the middle of the square. You'll often find street artists and live performances here.
Torre degli Asinelli & Torre della Garisenda (the two towers)
You can climb the Asinelli Tower (498 steps!) — quite a workout, but the view over the city is absolutely worth it. The Garisenda Tower is shorter but leans dramatically, making it another characteristic feature of Bologna's skyline.
Archiginnassio di Bologna
A building of Bologna's historic university with the famous Anatomical Theatre (Teatro Anatomico). A must for lovers of history and academic culture.
Local flavours & street life
The Quadrilatero district is perfect for local specialities, fresh markets and authentic trattorias where you can enjoy all the local delicacies. Bologna is a true student city — lively, artistic, and full of street art.

Verona (45–60 minutes)
Piazza delle Erbe
This square was once the Roman forum and is now the vibrant heart of Verona. Full of cafés, restaurants, and surrounded by historical buildings. Perfect for enjoying a cappuccino, lunch or dinner.
Arena di Verona
A large Roman amphitheatre where operas and concerts take place during summer. Attending a concert here is an unforgettable experience.
Ponte Pietra
An ancient Roman bridge over the river Adige with stunning views. For those who love walking, each bridge offers a unique view of the city.
Casa di Giulietta (Juliet's House)
The house linked to the story of Romeo and Juliet, featuring the famous balcony where Romeo declared his eternal love to Juliet. A romantic spot for couples. It's easily accessible in the city centre. Although the story is fiction, it's inspired by older Italian love tales.
Shopping
"Shop until you drop." Here you'll find all major luxury brands in the shopping streets — from Gucci to Dolce & Gabbana. For those on a smaller budget, there are still plenty of lovely boutiques to explore.
